Winter News Letter

Hi and happy holidays!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and for the hunting members I hope that you are getting opportunities to spend some time in the field with your two and four legged friends hunting the birds of your choice.

The board for directors had a meeting before Thanksgiving and I am happy to report that we have put together the calendar for the first half of next year.  We are working on locations for these events and will announce the locations as soon as possible.

As most of you know the board has discussed becoming affiliated with AKC for many years.  At our meeting on November 21st it was decided we would pursue this goal and in just two short weeks we have made great progress towards this goal.  One of the requirements of the application process requires that we provide a roster of our members with a couple of additional items.  The additional items needed are “Number of years participation in Sporting Dog events”, and if you have judging certifications they would like to know which certifications you have and the number of years you have been judging.   We have updated our member profile page to collect this information so you can enter it here by logging into WWW.CCHRC.Com and clicking the edit profile button or if it is easier you can also replay to this email and we will update your profile for you.  The sooner we have this information the sooner we can complete the registration process for becoming an AKC club.

Work has been completed on the redesign of www.cchrc.com.  It has been over 5 years sense the last update and technology wise it was over due.  The new layout is mobile friendly and adapts to the size of your screen so it is readable on even the smallest of devices.  Hopefully this will help those of you that no longer use PC’s to get to the Internet.

On November 29, CCHRC members completed the assembly of the clubs new bird pen.   This pen will allow the club to collect and maintain pigeons, ducks and pheasant for training days and events and allow us to purchase birds when prices are lower.  As the saying goes "it take birds to make a bird dog" and this should allow us to have birds available at most club gatherings.

If you have not already, be sure to checkout our Facebook page.  This is a great location to stay in touch and get last minute information on what is going on with CCHRC and it members.

The first membership renewal notice will be sent out December 12th, dues for 2016 will remain $30 for the year and are due by January 1st.  With all the things we have planed for 2016 it is important that we have everyone’s support, so please have your renewal in as soon as possible.  Membership renewal can be processed here on our website.

Lastly, board elections are coming soon and we are looking for nomination for all positions.  If you or someone you know is interest in a position on the board please contact us as soon as possible so we can add you/them to the ballot.

2016 is shaping up to be an exciting year for CCHRC and we all look forward to seeing you all soon at a future training event!
